Away 71: PongSats and Valve

JP Aerospace of Sacramento, California takes another trek to the Black Rock Desert in northern Nevada as they continue to fly balloons to the edge of space. Mission 71 on August 10th saw the team attach a radio-controlled valve to the balloon that could be opened and closed to release helium, allowing for control of the speed of ascent and providing options on where to land. The flight carried a payload of PongSats to an altitude of 92,500 feet. View the video report.
