So let’s have a petition or start a social networking movement.
Seriously, a well-organized campaign could really get the idea out there. The U.S. needs some big goal now that can show the nation that it can actually get something big done. The value of 27 million tons of material in orbit could have a big impact (no pun) on the U.S.’s national debt.
Such a social networking movement needs a dedicated website and Facebook fan page. Once that is set up, Steven D. Covey can address the space audience on The Space Show, Spacevidcast and similar shows. There would be a lot of interest in the traditional media as well. This makes for a really good story.
This could be called “capturingapophis.org” or something like that.
